We are looking for a Medior RPA Developer to join the DHL eCommerce Accounting team.

The eCommerce Accounting team is a part of eCommerce and was created 9 years ago and grew rapidly from 5 to 43 colleagues. We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues and with an average age of just above 30 years we have a solid mix of new insights and experience. Currently we are responsible for the accounting of four administrations within Parcel Benelux. As the market shows rapid growth and is always changing, part of our day to day activities consists of working on innovative projects like RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and process improvements. Our Accounting team is divided into four teams: Accounts Payable, General Ledger, RPA & Oracle Cloud Fin. Support and Treasury / Intercompany.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

The RPA solution provides a platform for resources from the business operations or IT teams to deliver self-service process automations on an IT supported, secure and resilient infrastructure. The Medior Process Developer has the responsibility for developing and delivering automated processes plus mentoring non-accredited developers. The primary goal of the RPA team is to mimic human action without human intervention; the RPA robot needs to be seen as a digital worker. The impact is therefore directly noticed at transactional level. The benefits are measured in FTE savings and/or quality improvement. In addition, the Subject Matter Expert will also look at the LEAN aspect of a process before the RPA development will start.

Other key tasks:

• Providing a level of knowledge of the RPA solution and associated methodology to support colleagues through all phases of the RPA delivery lifecycle and Accreditation Program.
• Develop RPA processes with low to medium complexity.
• Supporting the RPA Delivery Lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored framework that provides the optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes within the company.
• Identifying new process opportunities and discuss with RPA Delivery Lead.
• Analysing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required.
• Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements.
• Designing RPA process solutions in accordance with standard RPA design principles and conventions.
• Configuring RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
• Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
• Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
• Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
• Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the Project Delivery Lead accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
• Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phases.
• Conducting the UAT with the end user and discussing the outcome to finalize the go-live document.

Do you have what it takes?

As a Medior Developer, you have a track record in the successful delivery and support of Excel macros, Visual Basic scripts, or other configuration/scripting type technology, or a minimum of 6 months developing and implementing automated RPA processes as an accredited developer (knowledge of RPA is not a pre-requisite, as full training will be provided). You hold a Bachelor's degree and have knowledge of business/system analysis in a structured environment. Next to this you have good communication skills, with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience, and good written skills to produce clear and concise documentation. We are working in a constantly changing environment and therefore we are looking for a self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team, and who is fluent in Dutch and English.

• Understanding of workflow-based logic, with the ability to understand a business process from a workflow diagram and conceptualise it as an automated solution.
• Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration of automated processes in the RPA product.
• Ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks.
• A structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
• Understanding of, and willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
• Aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
• Aptitude to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and procedures to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel.
